• Great overview of bargains on different items, all across the board • Even better are the discounting promotions that come from places like this. • An all-around brew of different facilities, including a center service for tires, and those that involve batteries for cars.

FIRST THINGS FIRST • Depending on the allocations for group size, as well as function, the average price of your Interstate battery items will differ (naturally). SECOND THING IS • At an average minimum, you will be able to get sweet deals coming around the fifty dollars range • At an average maximum, most standard size products can come in with about one hundred dollars at their price tag.

I bot a “Silver” series from Advanced Auto two years ago. I had a CostcoInterstate battery group 35 only lasting me 2 years.

Minus the fact that the metal strap down made the battery cave in on the plastic about 1/4 in. Then the cells started to go bad and the battery sides going “fat” budging.

Replaced it with a Napa Legend for a year, and it works great. Make sure you use the little felt washer and battery spray as mines likes to have acid on the positive terminal.

This is a Paris. I have another CostcoInterstate Battery Group 24f on the Camry, it's holding up well for 2 years. My family's Civic has a Napa Legend battery about 3 years old.

The stupid car fired up weak but still working! :surprise: It was tested with a parts store and dam it still does not need to be replaced.

At the nearby Lexus dealership from where I live, the replacement batteries are from Interstate. So with Interstate, Optima, and OEM car batteries are brands that are trusted.

That is the only thing that was good with Costco from my battery experience. Let's say you left the lights on and your battery is dead.

Hop in the car and go to Costco for a free exchange, and they do not check for anything such as charge. As long as it is under warranty, you are good to go. Parts store such as Alone would check the battery and say oh it is hold charge.

Then why the hell did my battery not crack over the car next day? No abnormal issues with battery drain neither nor lights on.

But man that one time I brought a battery at that place, will never do that again. Oh, and I had like 2.5 years of warranty left on the dam battery.

Even got the manager out and was like MMM battery still looks good according to the tester. I had a CostcoInterstate battery group 35 only lasting me 2 years.

If you can cram a group 27 battery with the right terminals then that will be killer for the Tacoma. There's only a couple battery manufacturers left: Johnson Controls & Exile There's a few small specialty ones.

The Mustang's DieHard Silver just went bad today. It started right up a couple of months ago & is always on a battery maintainer.

It's turns out that AAA batteries are Dena, Diehard Gold was Interstate : lasted 5 years Diehard Silver was Dena: lasted 7 years Both were used in the same vehicle under the same usage & conditions. 92Pickmeup is correct, the outside label is meaningless... the specs, warranty duration, and availability of prompt replacement under warranty matter most... even initial cost is secondary. I'd much rather pay $150 for a battery from a parts store with 100's or 1000s of locations (or in the case of Interstate, any authorized local dealer) and get replaced immediately than a $100 one from a discount club that I have to find and get a ride to, if there is even one nearby.

I replace my batteries every 4-5 years, never had an issue with Costco batteries. They won't last as long as the factory batteries, but Costco batteries are probably the best value ones you can find.

You can get a battery that's 50% more expensive, but it probably won't last 50% longer. I bot a “Silver” series from Advanced Auto two years ago.

Interstate is supposed to be the top line of batteries made by Johnson Control. Anecdotal evidence from a few people for something like a battery when longevity is affected by a myriad of factors including what environment it is used is a dogs breakfast.

Read about types, features, and other must-know topics in our car battery buying guide to make an informed choice. MORE BATTERY INFO: I bot a Silver Series from Car Quest.

Twenty-three months after the purchase, a cell in the battery went bad, it was detected using the Car Quest dealer's equipment. Car quest gave me a new battery, no questions asked.

But it has no warranty whatsoever, because I paid once for 24 mos of good service. So, the bottom line, I've been using the second battery, for which I didn't pay, for 15 mos now.

Bottom line: Car Quest honors their warranty without a hassle, and I'd probably get another from. The battery indicator light on the instrument panel stays lit for extended periods after starting.

The clock starts to lose time after the vehicle sits unused for several days. NOTE: To maximize a vehicle's battery/charging system service life and performance, InterstateBatteries recommends a vehicle's battery and charging system be tested at least semiannually or every time the oil is changed.

Hot and cold temperature extremes High electrical use Drive time You can click on the “Find My Battery” button at the top of this page and enter your vehicle information, visit your local Costco to consult the InterstateBatteries Application Guide or ask a Costco Tire Center employee for help.

You can also check with the Tire Center about special order options. A standard/starting battery provides the power to start a vehicle and support standard electrical accessories.

In contrast, an AGM battery is designed to provide the superior power, reliability and safety needed for many of today’s vehicles. Including vehicles with start-stop technology and multiple power-hungry extras like GPS, entertainment systems and more.

Use extreme caution when handling electrolyte, a sulfuric acid/water solution that can damage clothing and skin. Lead-acid batteries contain hydrogen-oxygen gases that can be explosive and sulfuric acid that can cause severe burns.

To help avoid the risk of danger and injury, observe these precautions when handling or working with a lead-acid battery: Jewelry could make electrical contact and cause severe burns by touching the terminals.

If the electrolyte is splashed into an eye, immediately force it open and flood it with clean, cold water for at least 15 minutes. If the electrolyte is taken internally, drink large quantities of water or milk.

After neutralizing, sweep the area and dispose of materials according to federal and state guidelines. Do not charge or use booster cables or adjust post connections without proper instructions and training.

The battery is producing extremely flammable hydrogen gas. Pay attention to labels that indicate exactly how the battery should be charged; this helps eliminate overcharging and possible harm and injury.

Several factors affect an alternator's ability to charge a battery adequately. Generally, running the engine at idle or short stop-and-go trips will not recharge the battery effectively.

The battery is drained because an interior light was left on in the car for 18-24 hours. The car is only driven at 35 miles per hour to a nearby store and back 2 or 3 days a week.

Hot weather means high temperatures under the hood, which accelerates corrosion inside the battery. So in freezing temperatures, a higher CCA level is required to crank your engine.

These batteries have thicker lead plates and typically have threaded posts and the standard SAE automotive posts to connect to the vehicle's battery cables. They're also designed to tolerate the high vibration created in most mowers, which helps them last longer.
