The list of elite running backs in the NFL is a pretty select group. The Rams' Todd Gurley, New York Giants' Saxon Barkley, and Dallas Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott are obvious picks.
If I missed anyone, it's probably the Seattle Seahawks' Chris Carson and the New York Jets' Le' Vein Bell. Pencil in the Oakland Raiders' newly acquired star and Madden 19 cover athlete Antonio Brown.
You can do the same for the Browns' new weapon and Madden 16 cover star Odell Beckham Jr. EA has been working with the Pittsburgh Steelers' Just Smith-Schuster a ton, and he moved close to the level of the elite last season.
The Chicago Bears' Khalil Mack, Texans' JJ Watt, and Denver Broncos' On Miller are absolutes here, but if EA pays attention to the most dominant outside pass rushers from the 2018 season, the other guys on this list will be X -Factors too. Interior linemen don't always get a lot of shine, but the Rams' Aaron Donald might be the best defensive player in the league.
The Miami Dolphins' Xavier Howard tied for the league lead in interceptions with the Bears' Kyle Fuller, so that would seemingly mean EA would include them too. It feels almost as if the inside linebacker is a forgotten position in Madden, but the Panthers' Luke Muchly leads this small group.
2015)Children1 Musical career GenresYears active2006–presentable Raymond Arthur Quinn (born 25 August 1988) is an English actor, singer, and dancer. He achieved more public recognition when he auditioned for the third series of The Factor in 2006, finishing in second place behind Leona Lewis.
Following his national recognition as a child actor, he transferred over to the Merseyside Dance and Drama College, where he was taught singing lessons from the age of nine. From 2000 to 2003, Quinn portrayed the victimized and tormented child Anthony Murray in the Channel 4 soap opera Brook side.
Prior to appearing on the show, he was a performing arts student at the Merseyside Dance and Drama College, where he previously received some vocal training. However, whilst singing in front of Cowell and Sinatra, he partially stumbled and forgot the lyrics to Easy by Lionel Richie.
Initially, he was told he wasn't progressing through to judges' houses, but a change within the series format allowed him to successfully continue with the competition. He later sang Smile for his judges' houses performance, and afterwards was granted a place as one of the four acts through to the live shows.
Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, in the earlier stages of the competition, queried him over his ability as a pure singer rather than a 'song-and-dance' man. However, in the later stages, he widened the range of his performances more into singing pop songs, and to which the judges were satisfied with Quinn's ability to do so.
He managed to progress through the competition up to week 10, where he was the series runner-up, losing to eventual winner Leona Lewis. In December 2006, two days after finishing on The Factor, Quinn signed a record deal with Cowell's label SCO to release a debut swing album.
It entered the UK Album Chart at number one, and sold 127,000 copies in its first week of release, before being certified platinum. The album also featured covers of old swing and vocal jazz classics, some of which were recorded by Frank Sinatra himself.
Quinn made British music history as he was the youngest male solo artist and the first person ever, to have a number one album without releasing a single. From 11 May to 28 November that year, he played Danny Zukor in the West End production of Grease at Piccadilly Theater.
Other stage acting credits that Quinn has mainly featured in include: Jack Trout in Jack in the Beanstalk, the Prince in Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella, Warner Huntington III in Legally Blonde, and Billy Hosted in Dirty Dancing. In December 2012, Quinn was cast as the title character in the Aladdin musical, alongside comedian and presenter Don Maclean and actor Tim Flavia.
He reprised his role as Aladdin again at the Liverpool Empire, from 13 December 2014 to 4 January 2015, alongside Claire Sweeney as the Genie and Pete Price as the Emperor. In September 2014, Quinn announced that he was planning to return to music, and had already started working on material for a second studio album.
In 26 November 2018, Quinn joined Channel 4 soap opera Holly oaks as character Jonny Baxter. He left the show in November 2019 when the story arc surrounding right wing politics came to an end.
Lewis picked off Raiders quarterback Billy Joe Robert in the end zone for a touch back during the second quarter. In an interview with the team’s website in 2015, Lewis called the play one of his favorite moments in Ravens history.
The Ravens defeated the Denver Broncos, 21-3, in the wild card round following the 2000 season. After beating Denver at home, the Ravens topped the Tennessee Titans, 24-10, during the divisional round of the playoffs.
Lewis won a battle with Tennessee running back Eddie George for a fourth-quarter pass thrown by quarterback Steve McNair, who was trying to lead his team to a game-tying touchdown. Lewis earned Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2000, and he carried that into the Ravens’ playoff run, during which the team allowed just 23 points in four games and beat the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXXV.
Hall of Fame running back Jerome Bettie, who played for the Steelers from 1996-2005, was one of Lewis chief adversaries. In the first quarter of a 13-10 Ravens win, Pittsburgh quarterback Cordell Stewart threw a screen pass to Bettie, nicknamed “The Bus” for his size and style of running.
The Ravens held a 24-3 lead against the Denver Broncos in a “Monday Night Football” contest when the Broncos sent out kicker Jason Elam for a 57-yard field goal attempt with one second left in the first half. Ravens corner back Chris McAlister fielded Elam’s kick, which fell short.
McAlister brought it out of the end zone and was sprung by a vicious but clean block by Lewis on the Broncos’ Keith Burns. The Ravens played an undefeated New England Patriots team shortly after former University of Miami and Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor was killed in November 2007.
Browns quarterback Derek Anderson tried to fit a pass in to tight end Ellen Winslow II, who was met by Lewis as the ball arrived. The ball popped up in the air and was intercepted by McAlister, setting up the Ravens deep in Cleveland territory and triggering a 21-point third quarter by Baltimore.
The Ravens beat the Tennessee Titans, 13-10, in the divisional round of the playoffs following the 2008 season. With the score tied at seven and the Titans facing a third-and-10 from their own 1-yard line, quarterback Kerry Collins found fullback Ahmad Hall in the flat for a first down.
But Hall paid the price, losing his helmet due to a huge hit by Lewis. San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers handed off to running back Darren Proles, who was immediately met by Lewis.
“That’s not the defense, that’s not the call,” Ravens head coach John Garbage said on “The Ray Lewis Coaching Tree.” “He’s running through the A-gap and hitting Proles in the backfield 4 yards deep because he’s got four or five tips, he knows what play’s coming.” Lewis faced New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady three times in the playoffs, beating him twice.
The sack, which came on a Lewis blitz that overwhelmed Patriots running back Laurence Marina, was part of swarming defensive effort by the Ravens. Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez tried to hit tight end Dustin Keller over the middle of the field to get a game-winning drive going, but Lewis delivered a monster hit to Keller as the tight end began to lose the ball.
“The master of disaster, 15 years he’s been lighting people up over the middle,” color commentator Jon Green said on ESPN’s telecast. “And a perfectly clean hit,” added fellow broadcaster Ron Wazowski.
Baltimore’s 24-9 win against the Indianapolis Colts in the wild card round following the 2012 season was Lewis last game at M&T Bank Stadium. Lewis performed his last pregame “squirrel dance” and was on the field for the final play of the game, a kneel-down by the Ravens quarterback Joe Franco to run out the clock.
“My total focus was to come in and play my heart out and get my team a win. The Ravens’ 34-31 win against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl CLVII required a dramatic goal-line stand.
It eventually became fourth-and-goal from the five, and a blitz helped force a wayward pass by 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick to receiver Michael Crab tree. “The final series of Ray Lewis career was a goal-line stand to win the Lombardi Trophy,” Garbage said after the game.
