It's important to note that these weapon suggestions are our opinion based on various strategies we used on The Final Reich map. The machine pistol will allow players to rack up significant points in early rounds, which will allow them to open up more areas on the map, buy perks, and upgrade their weapons.
Doing so turns the SVT-40 into the AVT-40, which retains the damage capabilities of the SVT-40 and combines it with the speed of an automatic weapon, resulting in one of the most powerful guns in Nazi Zombies. Bacon and Eggs, like Pack-A-Punched pistols in previous Call of Duty entries, essentially shoot rockets, and remain helpful even on the game's higher rounds.
In this case, the special weapon is called the Tesla Gun, and building it requires players progress through a decent portion of the game's “casual” Easter Egg. In its base form, the Tesla Gun is useful for stunning zombies, but it can be upgraded to become an even deadlier and more powerful weapon.
Besides guns, there are a couple of other important weapons players can obtain in Call of Duty: WW2's Nazi Zombies mode. Taking the smoke grenade slot, players can throw a Jack-in-the-Box to lure in all nearby zombies and kill them with a powerful explosion.
Not only is the Jack-in-the-Box great for killing lots of zombies at once, but it can also be used to get players out of a tight spot or distract the undead long enough to revive fallen teammates. While we have found these guns and weapons most useful, other Call of Duty: WW2 Nazi Zombies players may have developed different strategies.
Even so, by focusing on the weapons listed here, Nazi Zombies players should have a much easier time beating their high scores and uncovering the game's many hidden secrets. Dalton covers the latest breaking news for Game Rant, as well as writes reviews, guide content, and more.
Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts I love WW2's iteration of zombies, but I really hate how the extra maps are spread over four different $15 LCS.
I'm super bored with the first map and need to change it up, but I can only afford one DLC right now. Call of Duty Zombies is a first-person shooter survival mode developed by Trey arch, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games, and Raven Software and published by Activision.
Plenty of other games followed suit to create engaging horde modes that could rival the addictive nature of Call of Duty Zombies. Its adrenaline-pumped action and unique settings make it distinct from the dozens of filler game modes on the market.
Updated September 17th, 202 by Johnny Garcia: The next installment of Trey arch's Call of Duty has been announced with Black Ops: Cold War. With the conclusion of the Ether storyline, Cold War will pave the way for an entirely new generation of Zombies.
The Black Ops 2 launch of Zombies was not well-received, from the clunky Transit to the underwhelming Die Rise. Artur allowed the players to do things never previously possible, from locking down the Mystery Box to changing Power-Ups.
While Black Ops 4 suffered from a rather shaky start, IX would be the diamond in the rough. A gladiator Colosseum is one of the unique settings for Zombies, and it made for one of the best maps Black Ops 4 had to offer.
Call of the Dead was the first Zombies map to utilize a celebrity cast, consisting of Danny Trejo, Sarah Michelle Cellar, Robert England, Michael Booker, and George A. Romero. It was the first time a major Easter Egg could be done solo, and completing it rewarded the player with a Wunderwaffe DG-2.
While the George Romero Boss Zombie was very “love it or hate it,” it created a constant threat that would keep coming back. Killing him would reward the player handsomely with a free Perk Bottle and Death Machine drop (or a Wunderwaffe DG-2 if the Easter Egg has been done).
There aren't many video games that let you slay hordes of undead zombies while making witty quips as JFK or Fidel Castro. Black Ops lets players slay the unrelenting undead horde in its Five Zombies map.
Members of the Zombies community often criticize this map for being too hard, having few train spots beside the second floor and having an awful boss wave. While the Pentagon Thief is rather annoying, running Mustang & Sally or the Ray Gun can make short work of him.
Nova crawlers can use teleports as you can, elevators are a deathtrap at higher levels, and most areas are hard to camp in. It can be rough at times due to constant excavator drilling or the Moon zombie trying to ruin your day, but the zero gravity locations and fantastic No Man's Land endurance area make this one of the most satisfying Zombies maps to play.
Nova crawlers were somewhat annoying to fight, but it made a nice break from camping and spraying down dozens of zombies. Black Ops 4's perk changes brought ire among many fans, dropping Juggling and trying to make armor a proper replacement.
The split between two timelines made many veterans groan over Trey arch's attempt to gain sympathy over a new cast of characters for the third time. When the story is put to the side, Black Ops 4 made some good gameplay alterations to the Zombies game mode.
Ancient Evil is the Magnum Opus of Black Ops 4, combining epic imagery with Greek mythology and engaging fights with zombies and bosses alike. If you can stomach Black Ops 4's changes to gameplay, this is a fantastic addition to the series.
The eerie vibe of this map makes it instantly recognizable as well, with the cold steel walls juxtaposing the flames and plentiful blood populating the environment. Black Ops 3's rendition called The Giant was also fantastic, but it didn't innovate as much compared to the original.
Black Ops 3 introduced a plethora of gameplay changes in both its multiplayer and Zombies game modes. Fans were initially mixed, angry that the original cast was missing and the map was heavily focused on the Easter egg.
Over time, this underrated map finally began to get the recognition it deserves for its sweeping mechanical changes and masterful execution of its visual design. Take the epic Easter egg present in Moon and set it within a Medieval castle.
Trey arch took all of those criticisms to heart and created Origins, a map that took the glowing reception of Mob of the Dead and cranked it up to 11. Instead of surviving as long as possible, players had an actual objective in this map: create a plane to escape Alcatraz.
Never ending hallways of cells and stairs made Alcatraz seem incredibly expansive and like a real location. Mob of the Dead's overall fun factor makes it the bestZombies map ever made to this day.
Graduating from Pikes Peak Community College in 2018 with an Associate of Science, Charles has spent his time dissecting popular video games, movies, and technology. Whether you brave it alone, play with friends, or go online to team up with others, battling against a horde of zombies is a lot of fun and throughout the years there have been some incredible versions of it.
Updated by Matthew Wilkinson on April 18th, 2020: The Zombies' mode of Call Of Duty has always proven to be incredibly popular, with every map having some positives and negatives. Anybody who has played Buried will know all too well how scary and creepy this map is, with the haunted house being a terrifying experience that is not really recommended for people who get scared easily.
This map came under some criticism for being a little gimmicky when it was first released, with the game allowing you to play as famous world leaders; John F. Kennedy, Fidel Castro, and Richard Nixon. Some gamers were unable to look past that fact early on, but, once you got to play the Five map, it was a lot of fun, with tight spaces and very few places to hide keeping you on the edge of your toes throughout.
Five also brought a new form of enemy with the Pentagon Thai, who took things to a new level with his attempts to steal your weapons, causing problems for people throughout. It felt like one big game of Clue by taking place in a huge mansion, and COD did a great job of bringing more than just Zombies into things, with vampires and werewolves helping to make this even scarier than normal.
Charles Dance, Kaiser Sutherland, Brian Blessed, and Helena Botham Carter were all featured here, and they added a lot of fun. Inspired by the 1940s New Orleans Jazz scene, the fictional More City was a perfect environment and switched things up for Zombies, going from the traditional bleak colors to something a little more vibrant, which was met with positive and negative feedback.
This is the final map in the series, and, because of that, everything is ramped up to make this very difficult, although it does bring the story arch together satisfyingly that left everyone happy. Her Eisendrache may just take the number one prize in terms of visuals, with this map being absolutely stunning to play through with incredible detail-packed to both interact with and in the background.
The elemental staves added something fresh to the combat, with giant robots walking around the landscape, giving something else to the gamer to think about, with a look to the sky being needed to avoid being crushed. This map was full of story reveals that brought things to an end in a perfect way, mixing emotion and impactful moments with fantastic gameplay and graphics.
If you want a really fun Zombies experience, then Mob of the Dead is probably the perfect choice for you, with a fantastic atmosphere with a gangster feel that also didn't take itself overly seriously. This map did have elements of dark humor which were welcomed, while also having an incredible story that had a real thriller feel with a brilliant payoff that was well worth dedicating some time for.
Taking place on Alcatraz, the location chosen was superb and fit the zombies franchise well, with a hidden Johnny Cash song and the return of the introduction of the Tommy Gun, this map had it all. This was the starting point for Zombies, with this being a surprise mini-game that people weren't aware of until they unlocked it, which took place after players completed the World at War's main solo campaign.
Once you had made your way through the game you actually bought, you were given a huge bonus of the Yacht Her Unto ten map, which provided an incredible experience that nobody had prepared for. While it still has the dark theme that would be expected from the game, it also has some amazingly vibrant neon lights that give the map a pop of color.
The whole map takes place in a zombie infected amusement park with rides blaring around and a hilarious MC who keeps things entertaining throughout. Since Her Raise originally debuted within World at War, Trey arch has remastered the map on two more occasions, proving it is a major hit for the franchise, and that is why it ranks so highly on this list.
The brilliance of this map was that it had a genuinely eerie and strange feel to it, with the theater being the main hub, with deserted and ripped apart chairs, cobwebs everywhere, and a dark moody atmosphere.
