None of them are, which is why I play them on my original Xbox with it's pimped out Media Center. Phantom Maria, Rippling Ophelia, Teresa of the Faint Smile, Galatea.

Figured I'd play all the games I missed on the original Xbox. Figured I'd play all the games I missed on the original Xbox.

You get distorted effects, glitched opening sequence, and longer load times. Phantom Maria, Rippling Ophelia, Teresa of the Faint Smile, Galatea.

Every X-Person at your command has their own special abilities and weaknesses; Cyclops and Colossus are great for dispatching enemies, while Wolverine and Nightcrawler are better at stealth operations and trap detection. You'll have control over any squad member you like during battles, building a strategy and unleashing multi-character attacks in certain situations.

You can play with up to four players exploring the story mode or beating each other up in the Danger Room. I loved being able to play as all the characters in a Men game that is actually half decent for once.

You can 't even go back to any level you just want to replay and max your characters out. Nothing beats being able to play as the guys you used to read about in comics back in the day.

Being able to smash through all the walls was fun and the characters looked good as well. The combo of action and RPG has seemed to pay off in several games as of late and this comes along for the ride as well.

Gameplay: The first time you do a combo with a teammate be it melee or mutant powers, you are hooked. The only gripe I have is that some mutants seem unbalanced compared to others...and you eventually can build a team that seems to really kick !&%$@#* with high enough levels.

Suggestions: A well done action RPG...a booming genre that seems to be getting the attention it deserves. The overall look and feel of the game is great, and it's fun to play.

The game advertises itself as 4 players but if you're looking for action similar to Hunter: The Reckoning or something, then you wouldn't like the surprise. While I understand this is an RPG, it would have been nice if we could have just loaded four characters and threw them into battle like Hunter.

Only after long conversations can you choose how to end the meeting with one of a few choices. The extra space helps especially with some awkward camera angles that the game chooses to display.

Xavier sounds like Patrick Stewart; I didn't pay attention to the rest of the mutants. Suggestions: Create an arcade mode where four mutants can just go at it in the War Room or fighting Sentinels.

Raven Working On X-Men : Legends Sequel X-MenLegends caught some people off guard as a surprisingly decent game. Activision and Raven Software have announced today plans to develop a sequel.

Bookies is packed with cute animals, brain-teasing missions and goofy mishaps, a perfect recipe for a peaceful evening with loved ones at home.

On Xbox Series X, the game will run at a smooth 120 FPS. King of Seas is an Action Role playing game set in a deadly procedurally generated pirate world.

I was at Blockbuster tonight and decided to pick up X-MenLegends 1 because I have only played the second one and Alliance and I get home pop it in and Bam! Not compatible and this same thing just happened to me last week so that made it even worse when it happened again i don't know I just can't believe that some of the biggest games aren't compatible.

If you go to the xbox360 area then it shows you all the Xbox compatible games... But when I first got my 360 I had some surprises like that too, it sucks! Yeah, I know I've looked at the list I just can't exactly memorize it all so a couple of times I've picked up a copy of a really popular game only to find out that it's not backwards compatible.

Ohhh, yeah I wish all the Xbox games were just compatible...and it sucks because I just sold my Xbox to help get money for another 360 and now I have all these games that aren't compatible, so I have to try and sell them, and I found out that morrow ind isn't compatible, that was kinda disappointing Yeah, I read an article on the backwards compatibility like a year before it was released, and then never read up on it anymore before I bought my 360 shortly after the release only to find out it wasn't backwards comparable.

It's been a good console, and no red ring of death yet, but backwards compatibility was one of the primary reasons I bought it 'when' I did. At the time of my purchase of the XBox360, I ran a test of all my Xbox games.

You can read my blog on The Great XBox360 Computability Hoax if you want more info on the subject. Yup, I have like 20 Xbox games and only 5 of them are compatible TD7007 Hey on major nelson he said they just added morrow ind to the list so if you still have that good for you.

Marvel games aren't exclusive for a certain system, and it will also release on the PS3, PS2, Wii, and PSP. While ESRF itself will run in PAL-60 once you're into the game, it's impossible to actually start it with VGA cables, since the startup screen only supports PAL-50.

This is true of all titles that make use of the standard Xbox boot menu (demo discs etc.). Unless there is some trick to getting it to run like Fora (which would be fantastic), I recommend the note about the bundle's PAL-60 support is reverted.

Some games have comments regarding save corruption such as Ninja Garden, I think that we should remove them in general. That's mainly because of the inconsistency as most who do see it happening is because they have not only removed their HDDs, but their console has been replaced.

It's a system wide problem, and not isolated to individual titles.-- Tube AU (talk) 06:20, 29 September 2008 (UTC) Just thought it would be good to reiterate what the widescreen column is for in the compatibility list. So if you set your 360 to an SD resolution, it must use every available pixel, regardless of a title's aspect ratio, or sacrifice detail.

Thankfully, the 360 BC software makes the logical decision to adjust the aspect ratio (use pillar boxing) of a 4:3 title ONLY when there is sufficient resolution (720p+). HD sets are widescreen, use square pixels, and at 1280×720 or 1920×1080, there is more than enough resolution to show 4:3 titles at their correct aspect ratio without loss.

I'm getting sick of whoever keeps reverting the Fora note, for the umpteenth time, the game runs perfectly on Pal 60/VGA as long as the game is set the lowest resolution. Tube AU (talk) 00:00, 15 January 2008 (UTC)I'm up for discussion because who knows I could be wrong, but like I said, discussion, such as here in the talk section, something that I tried last time and it kinda disappeared. Nonetheless, imp laying it through VGA as we speak, i don't know why you're having the problems, but my original VGA cases weren't even licensed, meaning they were counterfeit, and they still played the game.

I've since switched over to the authentic MS ones and again, it works perfectly on 640×480. I'll try to get a video for you, but really, PAL is a HUGE standard that's used all over the world from Europe, to Mid-East all the way to Oceania. My screen is a TFT 17", very standard stuff, so its even worse equipped for signals made for TVs, let alone HD.

Just FYI, I edited the name of this section to take the tone down a notch :)From what you said, I've gone away and tinkered some more, and here's the trick: After switching to 640×480, you must explicitly set the screen format to “normal”. You still have to go in and manually select “normal”. So the good news is that we can now document explicitly how to get it to work for other PAL VGA users like us.

Tube AU (talk) 23:39, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Okay thanks for that, I've been editing this for months and i didn't know who it was, and to see my last discussion entry randomly deleted got me worked up a little too much! Either way, i didn't mean to blow hot steam at anyone specifically, but yeah, we've discussed the issue and its solved, and we've worked out something new Armenia (talk)Just so you know, I did alter the note (once, recently) in the main article after failing to get it working myself.

Tube AU (talk) 04:14, 22 January 2008 (UTC) Why is it listed there, it doesn't work in ANY region If you look at the compatibility list, and compare it to the Puzo Pop Fever page here, you'll notice something.

Microsoft's list says only the US version of Puzo Pop Fever is compatible. The last part of this article, which says that button cheats don't work, is either outdated or untrue.

I think it would be far more useful if this was instead presented in a table format, showing which each game is compatible with. In fact, the current Wikipedia list is actually better than Microsoft's, in at least the following ways: Winifred, so it's easy to look up a title of interest.

No....each game requires specific coding in the form of a dedicated emulator. (unsigned anonymous comment) I suppose it's possible that newer consoles could have the emulators already installed (à la Halo/Halo 2), but who knows.

Bronze 15:01, 25 January 2007 (UTC) It is listed as a fact that newly manufactured hard drives include the latest emulation profile. Lobster (talk) 05:21, 23 November 2007 (UTC) I wish they'd make PGR2 backwards compatible, because it's different from PGR3.

The FAQ in the back combat page has a list of known problems. I don't really want to disturb the flow of the article as it currently stands. 18:07, 21 November 2006 (UTC) The “turbine” loading icon works on my version of Fora on both mine and my friend's 360, so I've changed the notes from “turbine icon is missing” to “turbine icon may be missing”.-- 22:00, 5 September 2007 (UTC)It's probable that it was just one of the many emulation profiles that were fixed via future updates. There is no existing list of PAL60 games online that I can find, but I'm sure a few people and a little of time could determine which are compliant.

Added new column with the information known at the moment -- Bronze 16:00, 20 January 2007 (UTC) I found on PAL-60 games which covers at least some more info not currently shown here.

Having just bought a 360 with VGA cable and found the hard way that Ghost Recon 2 does not run in 60Hz mode, I am keen to see this list improved. I have emailed Major Nelson regarding this problem and am I awaiting a response before making any changes to that section.

I will be completely updating the Japanese and North American sections in just a few moments. I have finally finished updating and syncing the Japanese and NA lists.

The opening blurb states that the number of available games are: US 298, EU 295 and JPN 71. For example, the Grand Theft Auto “Double Pack” is not really a unique set of games (it's just Vice City and GTA3 together).

Confusing, and we could remove it, but it is this sort of thing which causes the numbers to “not quite add up”. For some reason (probably to try and mirror the Microsoft list), titles starting with “The” are sorted under “T”.

On the official Microsoft list, *most* titles starting with “The” are sorted under “T”, but this is not entirely consistent, leading to confusion. As a result, the list here attempts to be more consistent about alphabetization, although it could very reasonably be argued that these titles shouldn't be under “T” at all.

-- Slovak 14:41, 23 February 2007 (UTC) There's a lot of fundamental changes to the list, including PAL compatibility for games not on the MS list (i.e. Bistro Cupid, which, as far as I'm aware was never released in PAL territories). I'm reverting at least a portion of these changes, due to the fact that Japanese-only titles such as Bistro Cupid appear nowhere on the official European / PAL lists.

ESRF was on Kodak's updated list of backwards compatible games , and since they get their info straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak, they should be a trusted source. Microsoft released the update and Kodak posted their list on April 19th.

Are the games listed in this page compatible there to 11:13, 22 April 2007 (UTC)binary moron Southeast Asia and the Middle East are in the Stone Age and do not matter.

-- Slovak 13:29, 16 July 2007 (UTC) That was part of the question I only used halo as an example. As long as the servers for the original Xbox game haven't been shut down, then it will work.

So if the game has an emulation profile, and runs in any small way, then it's added to the list. The notes section beside each game will inform people as to how well it runs, or if it has any glitches in general.

-- Slovak 19:29, 13 August 2007 (UTC) The trouble is, isn't original research the only way to check through the PAL-60 compatibility, as there seem to be no other sites that mention this? -- Denmark 2.0 14:59, 3 October 2007 (UTC)It has been re-added to the list as of November 27, 2007 (NA version only) Smooth (talk) 14:20, 29 November 2007 (UTC) A while back I reported to Microsoft another unnoticed glitch with Halo 2.

It should also be noted that any GTA games do not support a custom radio soundtrack like the original Xbox version does. Though the station is still there, it will not play any music on the hard drive to my understanding.

The operator seen that I knew what I was talking about and gave me the news straight forward... I recently bought a sealed NTSC copy of the game off Amazon.com and popped it into my 360 only to discover many problems in the emulation.

Many times in-game audio dialogue will not play at all, and there are numerous graphical glitches throughout the game. This is only for the NTSC version of the game and I do not know if the other regions work better or worse.

I have heard that the unlockable version of the original Panzer Dragoon, based off the PC port, is not playable on the 360. ANSWER: Driv3r only works on a GH/TAGGED xbox360, it does run nicely(performance-wise), however, the game's AI is broken as the driving enemies tend to crash, breaking the game and sequences supposed to happen, as a result, you cannot get the chase Ba cuss mission passed, he crashes causing a game breaking event.

I decided to ask this here before adding it to the page because I'm not completely sure if this is an actual glitch in the emulation profile, or it's just something that has been happening to me. Whenever I press ANY buttons while playing online my character moves to the right.

However, I have just purchased Outrun 2 to play the original (1986) arcade game on my 360 and found that the graphical glitches are not just slight, but really severe. For example, the clouds and other background during the race show that they are composed of squared elements, like from a modified font.

The stage data is not always loaded in time, causing the player's car to drive into a white void, where obstacles are invisible and thus driving properly is practically impossible.-- (talk) 17:34, 9 March 2009 (UTC) IS it me, or is this inaccurate? I have borrowed the game from a friend and could not get it to run on my Xbox360, and received the message that it is incompatible.

All the MS links now show file not found, and I can not find the list of working games on the MS site I have updated the help pages I found working. If anyone can find the list of working games on the MS site please add it back.

On the compatibility section mentioned was a special transfer kit that uses original Xbox memory card to transfer original Xbox saves to a 360 without modding you are definitely not talking about the Microsoft HDD transfer kit or date stash or the date xbox360 memory unit transfer kit or and action replay or game shark because you would need an original Xbox version which doesn't work on xbox360 so what are you talking about It's not in the official list, it doesn't boot, and the useless entry showed it doesn't work in any region.

Just because you can get a title screen to fire up with a hacked Xbox360, doesn't make it backwards compatible. No titles not officially on the backwards compatibility list belongs in this, no matter how well in may run with hacked software.

Hi just noting here that the merge of List of Xbox Originals into this article that was discussed at WP:VG has been completed. I also cleaned up the article to remove the tags that had been present for several years and also bring its appearance more in line with List of backward compatible games for Xbox One.

I ended up removing the information and using the column only for specific notes about a title that was included with its source (i.e. which games are only supported on NA consoles.) Games removed: FIFA Football 2005, Innocent Tears, Juno Takanashi's Mahjong Seminar, Unit Tonnage's Shogi Seminar, Lake Masters, Mashed Fully Loaded, Meet the Robinson's, Muzzle Flash, NBA Live 2005, Nonage no About: Ransack, Petite Copter, Plus Plumb 2, Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, Pro Cast Sports Fishing, Psyvariar 2: Extended Edition, Cayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Rent-A-Hero No.

1, Surf's Up, Team Classic Arcade, Tenerezza, Betsy Natalia's Othello Seminar, TNT, World Championship Pool 2004, X-Men Legends & Yuri Mesa's IGO Seminar. Please do not add any of these titles back without a reliable source as Microsoft hasn't confirmed their compatibility with Xbox 360.

Alucard16 19:01, 12 April 2018 (UTC) Okay, so I have visited this page many times over the years as it has been an excellent resource, and today I find it has essentially been vandalized by the wholesale deletion of vast swathes of invaluable info about which games support different refresh rates, resolutions, regions, detailed info on compatibility issues etc. @ Elysium44 : I found an old link from Microsoft about technical issues with some titles I integrated that list into this article.

All other technical issues that were present in the article before the re-write took place can 't be added back because they fail both of Wikipedia's variability and no original research policies. If there are technical issues that are not present that you find please feel free to add them to the list, but they must be cited by reliable sources.

A list of video-game related reliable sources can be found at WP:GRS. If you prefer the old list I found a copy of it on the Xbox Wiki site (link here) which is where it should be.

I apologize for using the term vandalism, I realize now that that is heavily frowned upon here and I didn't mean to imply you operated in bad faith by rewriting the article, it was more a reflection of my shock at how much had been removed. I can understand your viewpoint about massive changes to a frequently visited article.

Alucard16 01:19, 20 April 2018 (UTC) It's not on the official backwards compatibility list, which this article now reflects after several years of being anything but (Thanks to the person that cleaned it up). Also, if one wants to add this note, Richard Burns Rally never released in North America.

Was such a last minute cancellation that the next North American backwards compatibility list update included compatibility for it with August 2006 update, leaving it as a Euro exclusive. Good eye on Sniper Elite I must have missed that one when I cleaned up the list.

The GameS pot article and the one from Wired.com you provided are both good examples of reliable sources. Alucard16 09:58, 16 April 2018 (UTC)Actually it seems they removed it when they finalized the list.

I created a section for the games that were originally part of the program, but no longer included on their official master list now. @ Never rainy : Please don't remove style=”width:%;” | from the tables as the columns will become smashed together on a normal desktop view.
