As a IN™ member, you have a license to use the Zumba Trademarks to promote and teach Zumba ® classes and approved events, and to use the IN Trademarks to identify yourself as a IN™ member. Use the business name, trade name and/or trademark of a facility where your Zumba ® class or approved event is being held, so long as your use is subordinate to the Marks and is permitted by the facility (Section 2.2).
Use the Marks only in the forms shown in the exhibits to the Agreement, including adhering to the colors, fonts, utilization, proportionality and other elements of the Marks (Section 4). Comply with applicable laws, regulations and ordinances in the country, state and locality in which you teach Zumba ® classes and obtain all appropriate government approvals pertaining to marketing, advertising, or providing services (e.g., music licensing; liability waivers; professional liability insurance; fitness certifications; background checks) (Section 4.3).
Use the Marks on flyers, posters, emails and other printed materials whose sole purpose is to promote your Zumba ® classes or approved events (Section 4.4). Identify yourself in the Whops listing as the Registrant of a domain name you use that contains the Marks (Section 4.6(c)).
Use the Marks on a website, including blogs and social media sites, to promote your Zumba ® classes and approved events under the following guidelines (Section 4.7): Include the “used under license” language on your home page (Section 4.7(a)).
Include a link on the home page of your website to Zumba .com (Section 4.7(b)). Use Zumba’s original compositions as background music on your website.
d. Identify yourself as the owner by posting a link to your IN™ profile (Section 4.7(d)). e. Include your name in the title of any social media page(s) incorporating one or more of the Marks.
Use the Marks in radio or television advertising with Zumba’s prior approval (Section 4.8). Promote your Zumba ® classes or approved events through live or print news coverage, or through any mainstream news organization or print publisher.
In the event of such promotion, you must inform the news organization or publisher of Zumba’s brand use guidelines. With respect to live news coverage, such coverage must not include more than ten minutes of a Zumba ® class, approved event or a Zumba ® exercise routine (Section 4.8).
You may resell original Zumba ® products on online trade boards, provided you identify yourself in such listings. Use the Marks in connection with trade shows and Zumba ® classes for college credit (Zumba’s prior approval is required) (Section 4.11).
Notify Zumba of any unauthorized use of the Marks for which you become aware (Section 8). Never use the Marks in a way that implies an association or affiliation with a third party (Section 2.2).
Never sell, offer for sale, advertise or promote any competing goods or services under a domain name containing the Marks (Section 4.6(a)). Never use the Marks to promote any workshop, training, instruction, choreography session, or other activity except your own Zumba ® classes or approved events (Section 5).
Never use the Marks to identify a gym, workout facility, business or trade name, or any other type of facility, program or product without Zumba’s prior approval (Section 5). Never manufacture, create, offer for sale or sell any merchandise, including apparel, accessories, CDs, DVDs or promotional items, bearing the Marks or any names, designs or logos similar to the Marks.
You may modify and/or repurpose any official Zumba ® products for your personal use only. Never offer for sale, sell, or distribute modified and repurposed Zumba ® products (Section 5.5).
Never copy, duplicate, sell, distribute, upload, stream or otherwise disseminate any IN™ materials (Section 5.6). Never film, record, stream live video, create DVDs or reproduce in any manner Zumba ® classes, or otherwise imitate Zumba ®/IN™ choreography or music (Section 5.7).

My facility wants to host a Zumba ® instructor training. Under “Host a Training” the facility can submit a form with all their information.

IN Members are constantly receiving new choreography and music to change and update their routines, along with a wealth of marketing materials and ideas to help ensure lifelong success. The benefits are numerous, and of course, IN members in good standing are always considered “Current Zumba Instructors,” meaning their certificate is always valid as long as they are a IN Member.
These courses review the basic steps and will also renew your license for 6 months. After completing the Instructor Training, you can begin teaching whenever you feel comfortable and ready.
Every instructor is an independent contractor, which gives you the freedom to set your own schedule, rates, terms, agreements, etc. Although the Instructor Training shows you how to teach as well as how to create routines for a Zumba ® class, you may need to practice on your own and take time to choose the right selection of music.
You may consider borrowing from the DVD/CD set you received at the Instructor Training to get started. Some fitness facilities require their instructors to have a general group exercise certification.
The Zumba ® program is considered a specialty certificate, just like Pilates or yoga. If you have a conflict, we highly recommend that you take an Instructor Training at another time when you are able to stay for the entire duration.
Zumba ® Instructors are highly regarded, and we want to be sure you receive the utmost level of training before you leave. There is a great deal of information packed into the Instructor Training.
A YES may decide if you can leave up to 30 minutes early, but that would be on a case-by-case basis. A $75 USD cancellation fee will apply for all cancellation requests received within 21 days or less (i.e. 20, 19, 18 days) from your training date or any time after your training date.
After one calendar year from the date you submitted your original registration form, your ability to transfer expires, and you forfeit your funds that were on hold. You should bring a towel, water, a sweatshirt, a healthy snack and lunch.
Wear shoes that do not have a lot of treads at the bottom and are meant for medial/lateral/twisting motion. Although we provide an instructor manual, bring a notebook and pen to take additional notes.
Zumba Fitness, LLC, in conjunction with the host facility, will determine if an Instructor Training should be canceled due to inclement weather. If the Instructor Training is not canceled, but the weather becomes treacherous overnight, the Zumba ® Education Specialist (YES) will email participants in the morning.
If the Instructor Training is canceled, the YES will contact each participant to discuss options of transfer or refund. If the Instructor Training is not canceled, and a participant cannot make it due to inclement weather in their area, the YES will contact the participant after the Instructor Training to discuss options.
