Trey arch admitted that this was an issue when they released their launch week patch notes on November 20th. With the Season One update, this issue was addressed and split screen is now functional in Black Ops Collar.

The Zombies' mode can be played by matchmaking with other players, or done with a squad that is already preset. It takes away the wait that matchmaking has and allows Black Ops Collar players to jump right into Zombies with people they trust.
Zombies is one of the selectable modes from the main menu of Black Ops Collar. There is Operator selection, loadouts to tinker with, and the ability to check out stats in the Barracks.
