Last night’s debate was over an hour and a half of very little substance but a lot of yelling. It was the first time I felt grateful I can’t spend Thanksgiving with my whole family this year.

Check out some of the most embarrassing and epic Wheel fails: Wheel of Fortune has seen its share of skilled solves over the years, but these are without a doubt the most mind-blowing ones ever.
With only an apostrophe, an 'L' and 26 unknown letters, one incredibly astute contestant somehow managed to figure out the puzzle read “I've got a good feeling about this.” They mark up the script with camera instructions worked out from a floor plan.
Incidentally while music has been traditionally beat counted in the UK some places did it by timing shots in seconds. With Alex Greek, although perhaps most notably with Bud Collier in its original run.
” Wheel of Fortune is bound to a car and, like Strength, is also visible to non-Stand users. When engaged in combat, the vehicle linked to Wheel of Fortune transforms into a monstrous version of itself; spikes and tubes erupt from its hull, its bumper morphs into a beastly maw, with mandible-like projections on either side, and it gains massive exhaust ports on its rear.
It represents the Tarot Card Wheel of Fortune W, which symbolizes change and unpredictability. Wheel of Fortune is a powerful and versatile Stand thanks to its transformation ability, giving it complete control over the car it uses as a catalyst.
Wheel of Fortune's primary ability dramatically enhances a vehicle's appearance and capabilities, “allowing even a common dilapidated car to transform into a more powerful car with (nigh-permanent) four- wheel drive.” The car is also able to repair itself, distort its hull to squeeze inside a crevice, orientate its wheels horizontally to drive between walls, create spikes on the wheels to scale a cliff, and even separate its internal wiring to create dangerous sparks.
The shape shifting is linked to OZ's confidence: the more aggressive he is, the more powerful and monstrous the car will be. Conversely, when he begs for his life, the car reverts to its true state.
Wheel of Fortune can shoot its own gasoline at its opponents as a high pressure scatter shot. The gasoline is fired with enough force to damage a human body, but its primary purpose is to make its targets highly flammable, allowing OZ to set them ablaze with sparks from his car's cables.
OZ can hijack nearby cars' radios in order to converse with people. The concept for Wheel of Fortune was inspired by horror films such as Duel W and Christine W, which feature stylish cars as the main antagonist (or the vehicle of the main antagonist).
I have been watching Wheel of Fortune for more than 20 years now–my parents even tell me that the game taught me how to read. And all the while I have unquestionably thought that the best letters to call during the bonus round are C M D and A.
But watching the program last night, I realized I had no factual basis for that. I found this website, which archives Wheel of Fortune bonus round puzzles and other associated information.
This just goes to show you that the bonus round puzzles are not a random sample of words from the English language–in real life, O is the fourth most common letter after E, T, and A. However, the producers intentionally pick puzzles where those letters don’t show up.
It ranks just slightly below the least frequent vowel (U, 4.7%) but higher than N (4.5%), S (3.8%) and L (3.7%). 7) If you solely want to maximize the number of letters that are revealed, H G D O is the best selection.
To hammer home the point, the plot below shows the frequency of called letters versus what appears on the board (click to enlarge): The mess in the bottom left corner is the V, J, Q, Z, X trash.
G’s frequency might be overrated since a lot of those come from -ING suffixes, which you could reasonably guess if you see a word like _ _ _ _ _ N _. Letters like C, B, or P might have an advantage in that they could appear at the beginning of words more frequently and are thus more valuable.
There are a bunch of interesting questions we can now answer that I have this dataset. Since this category always begins with a word ending in -ING, having the G be revealed in that slot is worthless to a contestant.
